Samsung says devices will deliver personal AI

Samsung president and CEO TM Roh wrote an opinion piece arguing that AI must reach people through everyday devices to become personal and trustworthy. He described a multi-device ecosystem—phone, tablet, watch, TV and home appliances, plus foldables and intelligent eyewear—and said signals across these devices enable timely, agentic AI assistance. Roh emphasized openness via SmartThings and on-device security via Samsung Knox to protect data flows. He framed Galaxy Unpacked on July 22 in London as the venue to reveal more personal AI experiences and said the event will stream at 2 p.m. BST, 9 a.m. ET and 3 p.m. CEST.
