Nvidia signs leases for Hut 8 Texas data center

The Financial Times, citing five people, reported that Nvidia has signed leases for Hut 8's Texas Beacon Point data center, whose base-term contract value the miner said was $19.6 billion over 15 years and could reach $50.2 billion with renewal options. Hut 8 previously described the site as a 1-gigawatt campus for large-scale AI training and operations but did not name the tenant, calling it an existing investment-grade customer. The FT said Nvidia was the tenant and that Nvidia could sublease capacity to neocloud partners, while Reuters could not immediately verify the report.

Nvidia is reported to have committed up to $50.2 billion for Hut 8 capacity.
