Xtep to launch 160X 8.0 marathon shoe series
Xtep will globally launch its flagship 160X 8.0 marathon shoe series on August 21, with the top-tier 160X 8.0 Ultra featuring the new GT1200 premium carbon plate. The GT1200 was adapted through a joint R&D effort with Zhongfu Shenying begun in October 2025, transferring aerospace-grade carbon fiber into athletic footwear. The material uses 12K filaments and a PI fiber gold protective coating for strength, lightness, and durability, and Xtep says the series targets elite racing performance while supporting broader runner development via the X-RUN community programs and retail-to-community operations.
The 160X 8.0 Ultra uses aerospace-grade GT1200 carbon plate.
