Leon signs for London City Lionesses

Leon, who played in Spain for many years and who boycotted the Spain national team for almost three years, has signed for London City Lionesses. She said she wanted to test herself in another league and praised the club's project. London City Lionesses finished sixth in their first WSL season and are backed by Michele Kang, having already signed players including Putellas and Mary Earps. Leon returned to the Spain team in October 2025 and started the Nations League final, and she says her leadership will help the Lionesses pursue domestic success and possible European qualification.
