IOA hails India men's and women's teams at FIH World Cup
Both India men's and women's national hockey teams are competing at the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026, co-hosted by Belgium and the Netherlands from 15-30 August. India is the only South Asian nation with both teams in the tournament; the men's side began with a 3-1 win over Wales after qualifying by winning last year's Asia Cup at home, while the women's side drew 2-2 with China after reaching the event via qualifiers and an Asia Cup silver.
