Elara Capital found that nearly 60% of the roughly $20 billion that flowed into India-focused equity funds between March 2023 and October 2024 has been redeemed, totaling almost $12 billion in outflows. Investors withdrew about $9 billion in calendar year 2026 so far, split into $7 billion from long-only funds and $2 billion from ETFs, with Luxembourg, the United States and Japan recording the largest redemptions.
