Türkiye and Syria announce transport link to Jordan and Saudi Arabia

At a joint press conference in Ankara, Türkiye's foreign minister and his Syrian counterpart announced a memorandum of understanding to build an uninterrupted road and railway linking Türkiye, Syria, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. The project is presented as a strategic initiative to raise regional economic integration, increase security of trade corridors and revitalize Middle East logistics routes. Officials said teams will work on customs facilitation, border gate capacity, banking channels and infrastructure harmonization while also discussing security cooperation, reconstruction aid, health projects, an educational agenda and steps toward Syrian financial integration.
