RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat to address US Indian-Americans
Mohan Bhagwat, sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), will address the Indian-American community at the 'Universal Oneness Celebrations' on August 29 at Madison Square Garden, organisers said. The event, run by American Hindus for Engagement and Dialogue (AHEAD), is expected to draw more than 5,000 attendees and will include cultural programmes; AHEAD is arranging transport from northeastern and Mid-Atlantic states. Bhagwat will also attend at least two private events in New York before traveling to Canada, part of the RSS centenary global outreach that has included earlier visits by general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale to multiple countries.
