Ryan Coogler announces Black Panther 3 for December 15, 2028

At San Diego Comic-Con, director Ryan Coogler announced that Black Panther 3 will open on December 15, 2028, and that David Jonsson will play Toussaint, T'Challa's grown son who was introduced in Wakanda Forever's post-credits scene. Coogler said the film will be shot entirely on larger format celluloid film, a first for the MCU, and Denzel Washington is confirmed in the cast. Letitia Wright and Winston Duke joined Coogler and Jonsson onstage. The announcement continues the franchise after Chadwick Boseman's death and follows two commercially successful, Oscar-winning films.
