Lee Chang-dong film wins Venice Silver Lion Grand Jury Prize
South Korean director Lee Chang-dong's new film 'Possible Love' received the Silver Lion Grand Jury Prize at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival and also won the FIPRESCI Prize, the festival critics' award. The film stars Jeon Do-yeon, Sul Kyung-gu, Zo In-sung and Cho Yeo-jeong and earned a seven-minute standing ovation after its world premiere. Lee thanked the cast and crew in his acceptance speech and framed the film around fading labor meaning and frayed human connections. 'Possible Love' opens in South Korea on Sept. 23 and will stream on Netflix from Nov. 6.
