Verona launches verUSD stablecoin for AI agents
Verona unveiled verUSD, a U.S. dollar‑denominated stablecoin issued via Brale and backed 1:1 by USD reserves held with regulated U.S. financial institutions, debuting in Seoul during Korea Blockchain Week. The launch includes more than $100 million in commitments from ecosystem partners and more than $60 million in signed, contracted revenue that will flow through verUSD as payments. verUSD is available natively on Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche, Optimism, Arbitrum, Celo, and Solana, with more chain integrations planned, and redemption is available through Verona. The token targets payments for verified data and AI agent transactions.
