Oracle expands payments platform to support digital assets
Oracle announced an expansion of its Digital Assets Data Nexus platform on Sept. 23, enabling banks to run stablecoins, tokenized deposits and central bank digital currencies through existing ISO 20022 payment systems and Oracle Banking Payments. The update maps payment instructions, customers and accounts to digital wallets and blockchain rails, manages on-chain and off-chain steps, connects to Swift Ledger, and offers programmable wallets. It embeds AI-enabled compliance by feeding wallet activity and smart-contract changes into Oracle AI Database to flag suspicious patterns for human review. Oracle said the capabilities are planned for fiscal year 2027 and will be demonstrated at Sibos in Miami.
