Hyundai makes India central to global growth plan
At its 2026 CEO investor day in Seoul, Hyundai outlined a global expansion that places India at the centre of its growth, with 26 of more than 100 new and redesigned models targeted for India by 2030. The plan includes boosting India annual production capacity by 320,000, sourcing over 90% of components locally, and earlier commitments to invest ₹45,000 crore. Hyundai expects 60% of global sales to be electric by 2030 while keeping petrol, hybrid and EREV options, and it plans new model rollouts, a Q4 feature update, a 2027 Santa Fe EREV claim of 600+ miles, and robot production from 2028.
