Officials cited specific cases including Iranian-linked assassination plots, convictions for spying for China, and an arson plot described as fitting Russian state-backed sabotage, plus recruitment on Telegram by the Wagner Group. Police said over 20 Iranian-backed plots were recorded in 2025 and that teenagers have been arrested, and they urged greater cooperation from technology companies as investigations continue.
